I have the same problem. I go to upload a video on youtube, pressing the "Upload" button, the files for me to choose from come up, I click on the video I want to upload, then I double click it (or press the "Open" button for it to start uploading on youtube) and then, nothing. I can go to my videos, and it won't even show anything is being uploaded. I hope they are able to fix this soon. (just stating it here as it seems I am not the only one having this problem)

Hello everyone, I have joined the community just now with the intention of sharing what I have discovered regarding this issue.
To start off with my long history of use of all versions of Opera since alpha version, where back in a day a browser like it did not exist and Opera was unique ( I've been there since Lynx so it is quite a track ), up until now where we hit mark 11.
I would like to use the opportunity to thank the dev team for making this fabulous browser and enhancing my experience of the Internet where other browsers failed.

On to the problem we have at hand, since the version 9.26 which I had to change to 9.64 due to issues of crashing and flash video ( I will mention later ) also I have had a problem with the introduction of myspace player.
Basically it did not want to give me a play button myspce music no matter what I tried, next in 9.64 I ran up on an issue of certain full screen videos on youtube not being able to show where the audio is running ( still present ).
However when I upgraded to 11.51 I lost the ability to upload on youtube, whit the symptoms you described, which was the last drop.
I like this browser very much, and use it for years, and the advice to do it from another program, browser and something else where a no option, I like Opera and by GOD I will make it work even if I have to code it myself.
So I though my themes were a problem, but no it turned out the Opera custom CSS was.

Now on to the meat:
What you will need:
fresh Flash and Shockwave install from Adobe ( uninstall previous ones, and install fresh ),
Java from Java site, install a new.

Verify:
Tools - Advanced - Plugins ( all should be enabled ):

once we got that covered let us deal with the custom CSS.
Right click on a status bar - Appearance - buttons - browser view
choose and drag Show images ( with a downward arrow on the side ) before the magnifying glass ( zoom ), and drop it.
Close the button appearance and click on the downward arrow on that Show images icon once not the icon itself and choose manage modes.
Two tab menu opens:
first tab Display you may choose what you like, but please take note of the CSS path below, I'll address this later.
second tab is where it all happens:
Presentation mode
that is what you choose when you present yourself a page Author and User, both customizable.
Now you will see a selector of default mode in the lower right corner, for the sake of testing choose the Author.
Then on the left part of the tab select only the first two author available tick boxes:
Page style sheet and page font and colors.
Deselect the next three titled My Stylesheet, My fonts and colors, My link style.

Ok, leave the user in the opposite mode so you can switch via same Image downward arrow button the modes to see the difference.
Close Opera.
Open Opera:
Go to Youtube, Myspace, Bandcamp and upload, play and play the music respectively, you will see that everything works as it should.
Now switch modes to user and test again where the opposite should happen.

Regarding the CSS location where you can style all pages according to your style, I have mentioned where it can be found, and I have mentioned what you can customize.

I hope this solution returns the features I missed until yesterday and you missed until today, and hopefully with this guide all of us would never miss again.

Thank you for reading and best regards.

JC
