I think to start in each city the opera users do a group for promotion in colleges, streets, anything, I think that way a bit more easy to do anything to promove Opera

I was Opera Campus Crew member, and I got some invitations for academic events, actually on Monday I hold a video conference at my university with our Chief Standards Officer <a href="http://my.opera.com/chaals/blog/">Charles McCathieNevile</a>

and during the week I'm giving a workshop about Web standards using the <a href="http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/1-introduction-to-the-web-standards-cur/">Web Standars Curriculum</a>, here are some links about the event (Spanish):

The name of the event is "1er. Simposio Internacional de Tecnologías de Información (1st International Symposium Information Technologies)"

I was at Rock in Rio and I had seen a stand of a shop of "woman-things" and it had a big smartphone where the people could tweet and play with some "games" they had. The Opera could try to participate that big non-tech events to have more people knowing the browser power.

yh...i agree with Lopez...a space for our activity wont be bad. I was a member of the crew. And recently, i did an activity, but i dnt know where to post it. Whether the campus crew blog or here...still thinking..

I think its better to conduct tech fest and events like quiz, gaming etc.. each city and country, by campus crew members and one or two opera official members. And also give prize for each event winners. Hence we can promote Opera and also can make an awareness about updates in Internet or browser world.
