Is there any way to middle-click bookmarks in the drop-down menus?

I've been searching all over, and can't find much. I believe there must be a way to do this, because I saw this question being asked way back in 2004. But I really can't find an answer anywhere.

I just switched to Opera, but in Firefox, I middle-clicked like crazy. I would middle-click the Back button and the bookmarks constantly. In Opera, its strange... I can middle-click the bookmarks in the bookmark bar, but I can't middle-click them if they are in a drop-down folder. I also can't middle-click the back/forward buttons.

I'm sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong section... there's so many sections!

Well, I trust you, since I've followed a bunch of your other tips for setting up Opera. But I just find it hard to believe that Opera can't even just consider all middle mouse clicks to be counted as "CTRL-Leftclick". I mean, I could use X-Mouse Button Control to bind my middle mouse to CTRL-Leftclick, and then Opera would behave perfectly. It seems strange that Opera couldn't do this on its own, considering how very customizable it is.

edit: That was a terrible idea. I forgot that I click middle-mouse and drag to scroll pages occasionally, and that I use middle-mouse to close tabs. Oh well.

In the Drop-Down menu, and the Forward and Backward button. I'd like to press the middle key to open the previous page.
