Memory leaks

A good half the time I close Opera, it doesn't close properly. I'll try to start it again later and get a "Cannot start Opera" message explaining that another instance is in the process of shutting down. The only way to fix it is with the task manager; I have to manually close the old opera.exe process, which is usually still consuming several hundred MB of RAM.

I'm using a pretty old computer with XP, so I understand memory leaks happening, but does it have to be this tedious to fix them? The "Cannot start Opera" dialog currently has only Retry and Cancel buttons; I don't see why there couldn't be one along the lines of "Terminate old Opera processes and continue".

Cannot confirm, last time I saw this was around Opera 10 ... also the wish list is not for bug reports, there is a wizard for that.

I was suggesting a feature; see my second paragraph. The bug is well-known, with several threads about it in the "Opera browser" forum. If it can't be fixed outright, it could at least be made easier to deal with on the user's end.
