Mouse wheel / touchpad scroll in 12 is slower than 11.51
Mouse wheel scroll in version 12 seems to be slower than in version 11.51. Taking the beta testing forum page as an example. Version 11.51 requires around rolling the mouse wheel around 6-7 time, but version 12 requires around 9-10 times.The slowness makes the finger tire even for very short pages.
OS: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Mouse: Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500
Touchpad: Dell Insprion 15R built-in touch pad
Opera: 12 build 1060, 11.51 final
Is there a properties dialog for the mouse in Ubuntu that you can edit? I had the same problem, but it also included slow mouse movement. For some reason, Win XP was thinking Opera was a game and was turning off all the mouse acceleration and scrolling preferences I'd set before. I unchecked the 'disable acceleration in games' option and the speed and scrolling returned to normal.
