Certain Web Pages Appear Blank??

Hi,

I have been running Opera for a while now on my Nokia C7-00 (Symbian Anna 022.014 - although issue present on previous versions too). This issue has been apparent on all versions of Opera including the latest 11.10.1774. The issues is that when I use my bookmark to access my hotmail inbox, the browser displays the page briefly and then changes this to a blank page. If you look at the tabs, the page is visible on the tab...just not on the main window. The tool bar buttons at the bottom of the blank page confirms the loaded webpage has been zoomed in so I click on the back button and this returns the page to 100%.....but still blank. If I then click on the back (taking me back to the default start page) and forward buttons, my hotmail inbox is displayed correctly.

I have noticed this issue when launching pop-ups on various websites too. The difference is that this pop-up is launched in a new Opera tab and this means there is no back / forward buttons to enable me to refresh the screen. Even if I close the pop-up tab and re-launch it the problem continues and I have to do this a random number of times before it eventually displays correctly. Even when the main page is blank, if you view the open tabs, the web page is correctly displayed on the tab button.

I have tried completely removing Opera and all associated files and reinstalling but this issue continues. I have Opera installed on my F: drive (SD card) and not on the C: (phone memory) or E: (phone mass memory).

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Yes, I've noticed this behavior in two most recent releases. This happens usually when I open a link in a new tab. Then I reload the page and instantly hit the stop button and the page is displayed correctly.

Yeah new tabbed windows can have this problems as can when I first open the app and bookmark directly to my hotmail inbox (which automatically logs in, briefly displays the screen and then goes blank. This is easy to fix but when a page opens in a new tab there is no back / forward options but I will give try the stop / reload a try.

Hope Opera can fix this in coming releases as it is the only really annoying issue for me now.

I have worked out that if you get a webpage that appears blank then to get it to display (especially useful if you do not have the back button option as described above) you just need to click on the address bar field, which launches the keyboard and then without changing anything close the keyboard using the tick / commit button and the page will display.

I'm having the same issues, especially with news pages accessed via google.
Pages loads, and when fully loaded disappears... Reload via adress-bar and cancel loading is only workaround.

Forums and simple pages work most of the time, but this behaviour is a complete showstopper for using opera on my N8 (same with old FW and Anna).

I also have this issue and I have seen it reported here in at least two other topics. 11.5 has been just released for Android, so Symbian version should be available soon - hopefully with this bug fixed.

This is a critical bug. It happens at least with Nokia N8 and Nokia 5230 running Opera Mobile 11.1.

The web page seems to start to load ok but at some point the screen becomes totally blank and activity stops there. Please fix this bug.

For instance this URL does not work properly:

Hi,
thank you for the feedback and the report you filed.

When I check the pages today, they both load on the phone I have here.

Oh good, it's not just me and my phone (i8910) smile It's quite an annoying bug that stops me browsing with Opera Mobile to be honest. Hope it's fixed soon. Cheers.

Seems to be fixed in 11.5.
Would be great if the mobile version would notice users about a new release like the desktop version.
