Can't delete bookmarkt that are not in a folder

My Opera was installed 2 month ago. When ever i go to Manage bookmarks i can only see the ones in a folder. I can't (re)move any bookmarks to a folder or delete them all together. Very annoying. I tried everyting but it only keeps opening that bookmark. Anybody any ideas on it?

Or click on an empty space in the folder tree, or Ctrl-click to toggle the highlighted folder, or double-click on the parent folder in the file list panel.

The issue, such as it is, is that there is no "root" folder in the folder tree for you to click on. So you have to make sure that no folders are selected in the folder tree, or else navigate up in the file list pane - or as Tamil advised, switch views.

i was having the same problem and found the answer here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic79116.html. it just says to press F4 and a little vertical panel will appear to your left. click the star and your favorites will appear. then you can right click on the items you want to remove. that will bring up "delete" and other options.

Hi everyone

Thanks so much for all your help. It turned out they did show up when clicking in the empty space. How silly that i never thought of it or even accidentally clicked there. Thank you all again!
