Why isn't Opera included in Gmail's Supported browsers page?
https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?ctx=%67mail&answer=107906I never experienced any problems when accessing Gmail from Opera.

Yes, it's Google's fault. But also look for the Full Supported browsers list which says-
Untested browsers (we don't test them, but believe they will work with all of Gmail's features):
Opera 9.5+ (download: Windows Mac Linux)
So Google does not test new features introduced in Gmail with Opera.
Windows 7 SP1 x86 edition and Windows XP Service Pack 3.

I'm starting to think that Opera is under a "embargo",Google tries everything to make people use Chrome.

Could be but i think it has to do with market share, as Opera has under 5% market share.
I'd love to believe that theory operaterrestial, but Google have been screwing with Opera for longer than Chrome has existed.
Market share shouldn't enter into it for a company like Google as they'll have far more than enough resources that supporting Opera should be trivial; and the Open the Web team at Opera would I'm sure be more than willing to give them plenty of starters on where their Opera support is going wrong: Lesson One, it's not 1997, stop browser sniffing.
