Cmd-Click link for new tab; focus on new tab?
Cmd-clicking on a link in Opera opens a new tab in the background; "focus" remains on the original tab. I must click on the new tab in order to see it.Is there a way (either by configuring Opera, or via plugin or such) to make the focus change to the new tab automatically when it's opened?
I do not want to use the context-sensitive menu (via Control-click or right-clicking). I want a solution that uses only the Cmd key and left mouse button.
How to achieve this?
Thanks,
D.

Is there any point in requesting an option for this?
I like cmd-click for new tabs and cmd-shift-click for new background tabs, and have modified my keyboard.ini to reflect this (cmd-enter to open link in new page and cmd-shift-enter to open link in background page). But it would be nice to have the same when using the mouse.

I second this request for an option that we can configure.
Moe, how do you modify the keyboard.ini file? Doesn't this change the key combination for all applications?
Cheers,
D.

Not completely sure what you mean by "all applications". But take a look at the keyboard settings: Opera > Preferences > Advanced > Shortcuts > Keyboard setup > Edit…. Expand the Advanced > Browser Widget section and look for the Enter Command and the Platform Mac, Enter Command Shift shortcuts. Change their actions into "Open link in new page" and "Open link in background page" respectively. If the shortcuts don't exist just create them.
