Never seen this. What did you do wrong? Right-click on the shortcut, properties, change icon, and browse to the Opera program folder to select opera.exe and choose an icon from that.

Do you think it might have been the way I pressed the 'Yes' button (using the mouse, roughly centred on said button), which was the only input I had to the upgrade process?
