You are not authorized to view this page without ever getting to enter password

I recently created a site for a robotics team that I am on, and I am hosting it on my families windows home server. So that other teams cannot access the site, I setup a password for the site, and when I access it using Firefox, Chrome or IE on our windows 7, I am asked for the user name and password, I enter them and it works fine. But in Opera I am presented with the following page as soon as I visit the site. Any ideas why?

Are you posting in the wrong forum, or is this question about Opera for Linux?

Did you see if Firefox for Linux has the same issue? One would expect IIS to require standard a Windows authentication, which may not be available under Linux ...

Firefox and Google Chrome work in Ubuntu. I visit the site and I am asked for my password. I enter it and it all works fine. But Opera will not work.

@jag3498. Please try starting Opera with a clean profile as follows (this assumes you use bash as your shell, which unless you have changed anything in Ubuntu, you do):

opera -pd $(mktemp -d -t opera_test_profile_XXXXXX) &

Does the site now ask for authentication?

Out of interest what about if you embed the username you wish to use in the url, e.g. if you were connecting to http://myserver and wanted to use the username jag3498 to authenticate, then try http://jag3498@myserver. Does this force the authentication dialog?
