Opera 11.51 needs to work with Youtube.
Long time Opera user here. Since 1998 or something like that. It's as excellent as ever, if you ignore the 'you seem to be operating on a slow network' messages (I have 100 Mbps fiber).I still love it, but it needs to work with Youtube. It did, until a bit over a month ago. Or something like that.
Basically I've just been updating since 8.xx and maybe that's wrong. But here are the symptoms (comparing to Firefox 3.6.16 which happens to be installed on this computer):
- strange dashes in comments (actual extra characters, like this comment oh am outter here <-- dash after 'oh' shows in utf8 in notepad++ and in Opera browser). This is site-wide.
- adding comment fails repeatedly, copy/paste to Firefox immediately works. Site-wide.
- short videos (<=5 seconds or so) stop the timebar at 1-3 seconds from end, copy/paste url in Firefox plays the full clip. Site-wide. I read that it might have to do with video quality, but pasting the url from the address bar into Firefox works nevertheless.
