Opera Mini developed in conjunction with Google, according to PCWORLD
Opera Mini got a mention on an Amazon Silk privacy issue in this pcworld article.
...Silk isn’t the first browser to use the split browsing model. Opera Mini, the mobile version of Opera developed in conjunction with Google, also faced scrutiny, since it too sends traffic through a "middleman" server that lies between you and the site you're visiting. Because of this, you may want to steer clear of Opera Mini for tasks such as online banking where security is paramount.
Awfully misleading, huh?
I'm not convinced this is true. In fact Opera has Google as a partner for making it the default search engine, just that.the mobile version of Opera developed in conjunction with Google
This is Opera's server, it's where the page compression happens.it too sends traffic through a "middleman" server that lies between you and the site you're visiting
Bullsh*t.Because of this, you may want to steer clear of Opera Mini for tasks such as online banking where security is paramount.
