Cannot edit or delete my comments from blogs

I am not able able to delete or edit my comments from blogs for example, Opera desktop team blog. There are no buttons/links for edit and delete options. The only button/link I see is 'Quote'. I tried logging-out of my account and then again log-in. No difference. Anyone can confirm. See my signature for system configuration.

Are you trying to edit or delete comment posted a day ago?

It looks like you were trying to delete or edit others comment that is why they restricted you. It is very normal process in every blog site.

I am talking about MY OWN comments. Anybody here to help. It has become very annoying that I can't delete my old comments.

May be it was removed because you can't delete comment after a day.

I cannot delete my own comments either, and they appear on the web with my full name. I thought our comments were restricted to myOpera.
Thank you.

Same problem here but on MyOpera group. I think group moderators used to have right to edit and delete all blog/album comments. But this seems to be again(?) limited to 24 hours.

With 700+ posts on here you are hardly inexperienced. I am still a lamer but... You are talking about your own blog and not groups posts aren't you?

I gather we are all unable to remove anything from group posts. No idea why you can't touch personal blog posts though. You can get rid of or edit others posts as well as your own in them.

Nope. My blog comments are under my control. I am talking like when I do a comment on the Opera Desktop blog, I could modify my own comment until 24 hours - BUT I could delete my comment anytime - this must have changed recently.

Can anyone share any light on this? My comments are showing up in Google search and I do not want this, so I either need to know how to delete the comment myself or how I get someone else to delete the comments.

Apparently, you could tell me where to find them ...

It didn't used to be so, as a moderator I could only edit and delete comments on blogs I own and "Community" blogs (Opera News, etc.), but I'm now seeing Edit and Delete links on all blog comments. I don't know if they actually work on other people's blogs yet, but that would be one way to find out ...

(Admins have a tool where they can actually look up all of a user's comments, as a mere moderator I don't - but if you tell me where to find one of your comments I'll see if deleting it actually works - or if I get an error message when I try. No point in telling me all of your comments if it doesn't work - and no point posting it in public anyway. If it does work I'll have you PM the rest to me.)
