howto / is there a 'set this page to Offline Only' button

Not sure where to put this, but it's pretty much a 'wish' at this point, so...
---
I wish to find a way to manage my open tabs, AND minimize my bandwidth hits.
---
Here's what's happening.
a. I open a bunch of webpages as research subjects, but don't always have time to read Right Then
b. they may sit for a week, month, or longer, while I check and read them and re-check them
c. Problem is, the browser needs updating every now and then, which usually requires a restart (java, flash, etc)
d. So when I restart, my bandwidth gets hit as ALL those pages reload
(right now, 6 windows, average ten tabs per window - no changes on any, really)
---
Here's what I'd like to happen.
a. I find a webpage for research and set it to a group of open pages
b. I would like to change it with a single click so it's a 'snapshot' and saved as a local 'image'
c. this would require all ads, plugins, and stream media to be 'disconnected'
d. after this, when the browser restarts, it only loads these pages from snapshot, and as 'offline'
e. this way, when the browser is restarted, bandwidth is not used
---
Sort of a 'set this page to Offline Only' button.
Is this possible?
Or maybe someone has already made this happen, and it just does not show up in a search?
Maybe I'm not even describing this request correctly?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
James

maybe it was useful years ago with 56k modems, but now there are very few people with bandwidth problems...

you can always save the pages on you pc with the page>save as... option
