Need to paste images from clipboard into email

Switched from TB for other reasons but now think of switching back because pasting images from clipboard is not supported!
All other mail clients I've used supported Ctrl-V to paste an image saved in the clipboard

Curious though. What other mail clients support this?

I tried in Thunderbird 9.0 and it supports this with ctrl + v. But, "paste" is grayed out in the menu, so it only seems to work with the keyboard shortcut. Dragging the pic into the body works too though.

But, I couldn't get this to work in Outlook Express at all. I'd try in Sylpheed and Claws Mail, but they don't support composing in HTML mode. Mulberry supports creating an HTML part where you can insert HTML. But, using the "paste" command doesn't insert the pic into the HTML editor. I don't have Outlook to test.

I tried in Evolution on Ubuntu and it does indeed support this.

It works in Eudora too since it uses Thunderbird code.

What other clients support this?

This is important as all other applications I use allow copy and pasting directly. Just when I need to communicate via email it all slows down:
Save As, Navigate, think of name. OK. Then in the email: Insert, Navigate find picture, OK
Then I end up with lots of unwanted pictures in folders.
