Opera buttons for websites (Some unorthodox ones too)

I'm getting tired of seeing all the FireFox icons all over the place and the prudishness of their icons. I've decided to take a more direct approach and make my own buttons:

check the buttons out

True.
Yet, they are very nice (not just the FF and IE ones)!

I think that's rather lame. I promote both Opera and Firefox, because anything other than IE getting the biggest piece of market share would be a tremendously good thing for the growth of the Internet and web standards. The fact is that the Opera community benefits from every IE user who switches to Firefox, just as the Firefox community benefits from every IE user who switches to Opera. Making people doubt the quality of either product is simply going to cause more people to stick with what they're used to: Internet Explorer. You're really doing a disservice to your cause by promoting these messages.

I dont like this.FF is certainly a good browser and let us not behave like a blind fanboy but respect others choices.
We can only enlighten them about the better options available. We cant force them to use it.

These banners don't force anyone to use Opera. Rather, they enlighten.

I wonder where all this animosity toward Firefox comes from. It's true that Asa and some others have said some unfair or poorly worded things against Opera, but in general the Firefox community isn't at all anti-Opera (at least based on my experience, and I'm a regular on the Mozillazine forums). People quite often recommend Opera to people based on certain needs, and people who go all fanboyish against Opera get quickly shut down. As I said above, any alternative browser gaining popularity is good for all other alternative browsers.

Opera is a good browser. Firefox is also a good browser. Each one has pros and cons in different areas. Because Firefox is so customizable and extensible, it tends to appeal to more people since it can meet just about any need they have. Opera is good if you want something that starts up quickly and has a relatively small memory footprint, and it also has better accessibility features. Both browsers are nearly equal as far as standards support goes (I hate to smash the dreams of those Opera fanboys out there, but overall Firefox 1.5 has slightly better HTML, CSS, and DOM support than Opera 8.5).

Opera is not a problem for Firefox, and Firefox is not a problem for Opera. The same goes for other browsers like Safari and Konqueror. The one real problem out there is Internet Explorer. It's a huge security and usability problem for users and it's a huge technology problem for web developers. I see no reason to fight amongst ourselves; we should join together to campaign against Internet Explorer and IE-based browsers.

Look at it this way. Which of the following two situations do you think would be more effective in convincing users to switch from Internet Explorer:

Safari: Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera suck.
Opera: Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari suck.
Firefox: Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari suck.
Internet Explorer: Firefox, Opera, and Safari suck.

or...

Safari: Internet Explorer sucks.
Opera: Internet Explorer sucks.
Firefox: Internet Explorer sucks.
Internet Explorer: Firefox, Opera, and Safari suck.
