Weird problem with images on some websites
Hi there,I've been having this weird problems with Opera for some time now (this first occurred back with even Opera 10.x). Some pages just won't load correctly on their initial load.
There are missing images, images are switched randomly and sometimes there aren't any images at all. Reloading the page or clearing my cache usually helps, until I visit the site again later. This doesn't happen on every site I visit, but on the sites where it does, it does so frequently.
I'm attaching two images from www.kmelektronik.de, where I have this problem all the time. I don't think it's related to any addons I have, as I did deactivate all of them before to check if my problem persists.
This keeps me switching to other browsers and coming back at later versions of Opera to see if this has been fixed. As that isn't the case yet, I decided to post this here now. Guess it's not a common problem, but as this keeps bugging me (even after doing a clean install of Opera several times), any help would be appreciated :/.

I just checked the following http://www.kmelektronik.de/shop/grafikkarten_hd6950_14_1544.html (by the way it helps if you provide a link to the page in question) and had no problems on that page at all.
You say you have done a clean install of Opera. Did you delete your profile directory before reinstalling?

I did provide the link for kmelektronik (it doesn't only happen in their GPU section, it does that throughout their whole website) - but it was also just ONE example. It also happens on DeviantArt for example.
I also deleted my complete profile data and everything else I could find that was probably left behind while uninstalling Opera.

Again no issue here at DeviantArt and that's a site I visit often.
Are all your plugins like java up to date?
Do you use the content blocker? If so disable it and see if that helps.

Yeah, it seems most people don't have that problem, that's the "funny" thing.
My plugins are all up to date.
I only use Ghostery for content blocking - disabled/uninstalled that as well for testing purposes. The weirdest things is, that the problem is usually solved by clearing the cache or just reloading the page - so I don't think it could be the content blocker.

There's not much more I can think of I'm afraid.

I was hoping for a developer to maybe respond (I'm not even sure if they're active on the forums?), as I'm also completely out of explanations for this behavior.
Another "fun" fact is: This does not happen on my MacBook, using the same version of Opera and also mostly the same extensions. This is a little enraging >_<…

This is a user-to-user forum though you do get a developer posting now and again but rarely.

What about antivirus on your windows system? could be worth a disabling for a minute or so just to check.

Hope that is the solution to the problem. Let us know one way or the other.

Well, what do you know... this was indeed the problem. Did some intense testing on that now. Switching to Bitdefender, which also had some sort of HTTP-Stream check, made it even worse, even if you decide to deactivate that particular function.
Using AVG Free now, with which Opera is working fine.
Well, that's one mystery solved - thanks for pointing me in the right direction ( I really should have thought about that myself ^^...)
I blamed it on Opera as every other browser worked fine. Guess it's not only Webmasters, that don't like to support Opera, but application devs as well -.- ...
