Opera 11.51, google docs and traditional chinese IME...
Hmmm, it seems that Opera 11.51, google docs and traditional chinese IEM do not work together.I can cut and paste chinese from another source into google docs. However when I tried to type chinese in the box, the IME box goes to the opera icon at the top-left icon. without the focus, the chinese characters is going no where.
I don't have this issue with IE.
anyone having the same experience?
typing chinese 中文 in this forum is ok, so i guess it is a compatibility issue.

Not a Chinese IME user or a Google Documents user. But I can tell you Japanese IME is not working on a Google doc either. Using Opera 11.51 on Windows XP pro sp3. Microsoft Japanese IME 2002 ver 8.1.

Just a quick update. I have tested this on 3 Operating Systems: Win2k SP4 (latest), XP SP3 (latest) 32 bits and my recently purchased Win7 SP1 (latest) 64 bits, with the IME that come with Windows, AS IS.
The Traditional Chinese (big5) IME does not work on Opera 11.52 Google Docs in all three cases.
I did not test it on my mobile, which has recently upgraded her Opera browser from 10.0 to 11.50. Anyway, I have to say that 11.50 is a lot better than 10.0. The rotation, zooming and buttons suddenly all make sense. Good work. The drawback is that the response slowed down a bit, about 2 seconds on start up and a second or two between each page, but that I can live with.

For recording purpose, the Chinese IME problem no longer exists in opera 12.14. I off-shelved opera yesterday and was told to update to the latest version. Out of curiosity, I test run google docs with Chinese characters under Window 7 and it was working, although the input box was a little bit strange.
