Adobe Reader Doesn't Seem to be Working

I am trying to get Adobe Reader to work and I have installed it a bunch of times now but it does not seem to want to show me pdf's that work in all my other browsers. I'm using OS X Lion. Any ideas? Thanks!

Go to adobe.com and download Adobe X. Adobe 9 is obsolete. Un-Install the Older version first. Also download the latest Java from Java site and un install any older versions. If you have a 64 bit (this advice applies to Windows users) then that is the larger file to download.

Once Adobe is downloaded click on the icon to verify the agreement. On way to have the latest downloads is to use the Secunia PSI updater.

This is for Mac and Windows.

Hi,
There is no functional PDF plugin on Mac for Opera. There is an other topic about this, and also a possible pdf.js solution => http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1001902
