“Enable Referrer” not working correctly? (pixiv.net)
I have recently started disabling “Enable Referrer”, but there are some issues around it. I'm posting here because I can only confirm it for one site, pixiv.net (like Japanese deviantART). I enable “Send referrer information” just for that site, but none of the images load. Switching on “Enable Referrer” makes it work perfectly again. Is this a bug with the special way these images are embedded or just a site specific issue? In any case, it should be looked into.
Enabling referrer for "pixiv.net" as opposed to the standard "www.pixiv.net" worked. I'll keep it in mind for other sites in the future, thanks!
I'd say this behaviour is slightly user-unfriendly, though. I can see the added security for it, but I doubt that there would really be a security benefit from including "www" the majority of uses. If I edit site preferences on this page, it suggests "my.opera.com" and not "my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1114212". I'm implying that it should perhaps suggest to edit "opera.com" instead.
Sorry for the late reply (haven't checked the forums in a while).
