Opera Beyond Slow On High-End Mac Pro
I'm about at my wits end with Opera. I didn't update the browser for a long time due to conflicts with a gaming website, but I decided to rely on Safari for that and upgrade Opera. I figured I have an 8 core 2.93ghz Mac Pro with 16GB of RAM and should be able to handle anything the new version throws at me without the slightest inkling of an issue.Surprise. It runs slow as soon as it loads, and only gets slower and slower. My computer gets left on (sleep) with programs open, but Opera's really the one that seems worse for wear. I confirmed Opera Turbo, Link and all the other extras are off. Can someone help me? I plunked down thousands on a 2010 top of the line machine so I wouldn't have to worry about dealing with slow, old computers for many more years and I liked Opera in the past. But if this doesn't change, the browser will be uninstalled.

Before you uninstall Opera, please try Opera Next (early preview of Opera 12). Should be much better because of a new plug-in implementation.
