Date Format
In the Mail Received View under the Sent Column, the date appears. This is in I think USA format MM/DD/YYYY
I have hunted everywhere to find out how to change it to UK format DD/MM/YYYY.
Can anyone help?
I have installed Opera on a desktop running PCLinux and a laptop also running PClinux.
Both machines are set to GB locale, and all other software shows UK date format.
Had a look at about:config but no mention of date format that I could see, nor in Prefs.

What happens if goto "Ctrl + F12 -> general" and change the language to match the system locale. Does it work then? (Make sure to install Opera using the international installer so that the setup has all the locales.)
I'm not saying that's what you want to do, but would like to know if that fixes it.
Ctrl+F12 is a windows hotkey combination and I am using linux.
However I see where you are coming from.
Language is set at English GB and locale is set at UK.
Other progs pick up the date correctly so I guess this is an Opera problem

Well, here Opera uses the dd/mm/yyyy format - for messages older than a week at least - and i don't remember hd change any setting regarding this.
I've noticed that changing the date format on Windows' control panel will also change it on Opera. Don't know if the same will happen on Linux.

In PCLinux Control Centre there is a section entitled Manage Localisation For Your System.
I have never had a look in here before, and discovered it was set to English USA, and yet in the Configure Your Desktop section, locale is set to United Kingdom and language to English GB.
Anway, I changed it to English GB, and now all the Opera dates are in the format DD/MM/YYYY.........happy days.
@ LeoCG & @burnout426 thanks for your help guys.

Ctrl + F12 works in linux too to get to preferences. But, for future reference, I mostly give Windows directions that will have to be converted for use on other OS's.
