Carrier Interference

I'm on Opera Mini 6 for S60 . Everything's been cool so far. But now I can see that the settings of the browser are changed (there's carriers logo at the start and related bookmarks, default search engine also cahnged). Well, I changed nothing. How come? Is it possible that my carrier (Beeline - Vympelcom) changed the settings, is it legitimate? I'm deeply confused, don't know what to do. The carrier's support ignores my requests.
