Cannot open website

Hi,

Though opera works on most sites, it doesn't work on some sites.

The one site that I visit every day is http://www.dailydeals.net (www.dealgenius.com) and opera doesn't load this site fully. Any solution?

Thanks,
Balaji.

Works if you mask as firefox. So it's the sites fault not Opera.
Right click on the page, select Edit site preferences > Network > Browser Identification.

wonderful!. Thanks for the reply.

What is the difference between "Identify as firefox" and "mask as firefox"?

Thanks,
Balaji.

Opera (11.51, build 1827) will not work (only partially opens)in the site www.aireuropa.com.
Why? OK in IE.

On http://aireuropa.com/ , Opera is being redirected to the mobile site, mobile.aireuropa.com. The browser sniffing determines if "opera" is in the user agent string, then it must be a mobile phone user. Other major sites have in the past done this. You could go to their contacts and under WEB service, Web-related issues, use the e-mail link to contact them. It is possible for them to fix it.

To make it work with Opera, Right click on the page, select Edit Site Preferences, and change site from mobile.aireuropa.com to aireuropa.com. Then click on the Cookie tab and delete any cookies. Then click on the Network tab and choose Mask as Firefox or IE. Enter the original address in the address bar and the site will load.

Thank you, though Air Europa has no Web service, and firefox/IE masking has no effect. No doubt my fault.

Hi,

I found some more websites that do not work.

The thumbnail images on the deals do not show up when I open the site www.fatwallet.com in opera. It doesn't work irrespective of whether I use "Mask as firefox" or "Mask as Internet Explorer". Is there a way to get this fixed?

Also, please open the below link in opera.

The next and previous image icons do not work. Also, clicking on the thumbnails at the bottom of the page also do not work. Is it possible to fix this?

Thanks,
Balaji.

http://www.fatwallet.com/ and http://www.engadget.com/photos/roku-lt-hands-on/#4483543 both work fine here.
Are you using any extensions?

Thanks for the response.

I am using the following extensions.

NoAds Advanced
Weather
Facebook
Google Calender

I am guessing NoAds may be blocking it. I will do some research and see if I can add some rules to it.

Thanks,
Balaji.

That's the one I would suspect. It's caused a few problems for some people on certain sites,

Okay, I did Alt-Shift-P to open the NoAds preferences page for the website and it displayed the blocked scripts/css elements. I clicked on the "Disable CSS and JS Blocking for this site" and closed the preferences page.

It works fine now.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks,
Balaji.
