Changing Font for Sending Email

Greetings,

Is it possible to change the standard font used for sending email, so that all future emails sent will be in the new font?

Thank you.

Ctrl + F12 -> advanced -> fonts. You can change "Email compose" for plain text messages and "Email compose(html)" for HTML messages.

But, not that for HTML messages, once the compose tab is open, you sometimes have to switch to plain text mode and back to get the font. Or, if you're replying and the insert position is stuck inside the element for the quoted text where the quoted text has a different font, you have to do ctrl + home and backspace etc. to get the insert position out of that element so that Opera uses the default font you have set.

I hate to even ask, but do these changes require a restart of Opera? The reason I ask is because I have made the changes but the font does not appear any different at all, even in plain text mode.

No. After you change them, the next message you compose will have the new font. Works fine for me in Opera 12 at least.
