Kiosk mode silent print mode disable print options, automatically prints to default printer
Thank you Opera for making such a nice Kiosk mode broswer, I especially like the noexit option. Can you please show me how to allow the kiosk user to print automatically to its default printer, a print button on a website brings up the choose a printer dialog then press ok to print.
Firefox has a print silent option, does OPERA have one? Can you implement one please?
Or does anyone know how to get around the problem, as if the user can get to this choose a printer screen, they can click have a disk then access all the files etc
Count me as another person who would like to see printing without the print dialog (silent printing)in kiosk mode. I can understand the problem this could cause in normal web browsing mode with printing triggered by script in the page, but in kiosk mode, what is to be printed can be controlled.
I can think of a few things I could do in kiosk mode and how much better this would work if the print dialog didn't get in the way. Just click a button and the print job goes off to the default printer. Silent printing in kiosk mode - bring it on.
