Ads with 0.52

Some ads seem to appear in Google searches with v.0.52, even after re-installing the extension. I use Opera 12.00 build 1085.

Ads appear with Google Maps results, as well.

I've experienced similar problems, also with The Piratebay too. I also tried un-installing AdBlock, restarting Opera and reinstalling AdBlock then restarting Opera again, but the same problem continues.

Opera 11.51 Build 1087.

It appears that ads displaying are Flash based ads on a number of different sites.

For me at least, they are the usual Google ads on several Google sites (search, maps).

The Google ads for me have disappeared from the search results having done what's described in the above post, I haven't tried other Google services.

What list are you using? If you are using the Fanboy list (default list), report the issue at the Fanboy AdBlock list forums: http://forums.fanboy.co.nz/forums/

Also note that one of the main limitations of the Opera Content Blocking API is the lack of a per-site filter, which makes list maintainers, like Fanboy, choose to not implement a filter because it could also affect other websites (could cause false positives), which may include the unblocked ads you are posting.

For flash issues, I recommend enabling 'Preferences > Advanced > Content > Enable plug-ins > Enable plug-ins only on demand'. This will block all Flash content from automatically loading. It will leave placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to view the Flash content.
