google images problem

hello

after I click on a google images result, it opens a background webpage where the image is centered and the webpage is at the background (let's say this webpage "X")

if I click to close this image, then the actual webpage is shown

the problem is that, after that, sometimes the webpage is not the same and/or the google result image does not appear on the webpage

clicking back, does not go to the webpage X, so I actually lose the google images result

is there a solution for this?

thanks

I really cant understand the thing but i hope its a case of redirection of webpage where clicking back does not takes webpage back but brings again to same webpage.. In that case just double click back fastly....

Otherwise when i click back after closing "X" i get the google image result, no problem in case of mine

Solution for what? When you are of page X, clicking back brings you back to Google's image search result - makes perfect sense to me. What else do you expect?

I didn't say this

the problem is when you are on webpage X, then you close the image. by clicking this below:

then, if you click back, you cannot go to the webpage X
I hope it is clear now

Can you right click the image and `save as'
and then click the x
you should have a local copy of the image
and be on the website?

okaa, i understood, but i dont think this could be change. its how google build there web page, they have there own style of representing things. Think it as a popup, a useful popup indeed or a dialogue box of some messgae, which when closed cant be reverted.

Rather you should go back to image result of google and then open the image again.

And for your info i must tell, the same will happen in any other browser indeed. You can say its google policy. Verified by viewing through IE too

If i click on the X onthe image, i'll stay on page X. Clicking on the back button will lead me to google's search results page and a click on the "forward" one will take me back to page X.

But it does not seem to happens with/on all pages. Anyway, you can always open the page on a new tab.

I'm already on page X, so why the back button should lead me to the same page?

the X webpage was not defined like that in first post
the X webpage, is the webpage that you go after you click on a google image search result (that displays the image you searched for in a frame, as shown in the screenshot above)

Let's try to clear things:

1) i go to google and search for something;

2) I click on images on the left so it will show me images that match the query;

3) i click on one of those images. It opens a page with that image in evidence;

4) I click o the x in the top right of the image. The page where the image is originally from loads;

5) I click on the back button. Google's search result page appears.
