For that Opera Mini has to emulate a desktop browser. I do wish Opera Mini has the ability to pretend to be a desktop browser to avoid serving mobile contents.

Unfortunately, OperaMini CANNOT emulate as a desktop. Even though it may be able to support the same features as a desktop browser, it is telling the websites that it is a mobile browser (user agent string tells website that it is OperaMini, a mobile browser. To emulate a desktop browser OperaMini needs to give off a string like Opera desktop browser to fool browser sniffing websites).

They should also consider a password manager. Remember, the rendering for OperaMini is done by Opera servers and not the phone itself. So advanced feature like html5 audio or animated gif cannot be done.
