Speed Dial New Tab Behaviour

I hope this is not an intentional change.

If "reuse current tab" is not checked, clicking on a speed dial now opens a new tab. I guarantee that this is going to upset a lot of users if it is not reverted to the previous behaviour.

Should Speed Dials Open in a new Tab?

Please revert this. Very annoying indeed.

Strictly speaking this behaviour is consistent I guess...

I don't think this is intentional. Report a bug.
Using Windows 7 64Bit SP1 and of course Opera
(If nothing else stated the most current weekly) on a nice Dell Studio XPS 16!

If you just opened a new tab, it should never open a speed dial in another new tab. If you have one of those buttons to display the speed dial page in a tab that has a (back) history, then it might make sense to open in a new tab ... and I can see that some people might want it to open a new tab when Speed dial is the only (or first) open tab. (I wouldn't, but I have set "Reuse current tab" so it won't happen anyway.)

I thought it is a bug but still hope it is.

Revert it, please.

Ctrl-T (or File > New Tab) ; normal speed dial page shows up ; click on any bookmark there ; the clicked page opens in a new tab, leaving the speed dial page in the background.
No fancy speed dial modifications or whatever here...

Reported as a bug: DSK-348142

If it is intentional, its clearly going to be very unpopular and should be reverted.

It's not intentional, and a fix is being tested internally.

Probably related bug - "Paste and go" in the address bar opens a new tab. Very annoying when i want to modify the current URL or try a bookmarklet...

Can we have a new snapshot with the fix for this bug, please? Even if it's the only thing in the changelog p
