Hi,
I'm encountering same problem as above mentioned. I need to add, that after entering into 'block content' mode, there is no option to exit this mode - reloading page in a same tab dosen't help.

This is an issue since 11.51 upgrade, and today's 11.52 upgarde didn't change anything in that matter.
I use Windows XP.

Try to click with and without " Shift " button to the object you want to block .

I have the same problem in opera 11.52 on windows xp. Screenshot here http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/2439/beznazwysb.png site is http://interia360.pl/artykul/gdzie-my-zyjemy,49359

Shitf or no shift makes no difference. It's quite annoying that I can't block ads :/

Confirmed, with or without "Shift" makes no difference at all.

What've just come up to my mind is our common thing (Ratatui88's, piotrekkr's and mine) could be a polish version of Windows system. Mine is Windows XP PL exactly, however I have 'English' set as a default in Opera.

Exacly the same thing happens when using opera 11.52 on opensuse linux so I think it is more about flash ad than os. I can block flash ads on other sites. I made sample html page with only this one ad:

<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0" id="idAdbillboard1026155420" width="750" height="200" style="z-index:1">
  <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
  <param name="movie" value="http://i.hub.com.pl/bloggerzy_double_billboard_19268.swf?clickTag=http://interia.hit.gemius.pl/hitredir/id=zZea.6bjGy4p64etJ3Rierd8TIP8.OyVgoxmsrFE267.a7/stparam=vijtqwlmhb/fastid=1297036692683572860/sarg=00000008A4A4E92A/url=https://www.yetipay.pl/slowo-blogera/">
  <param name="quality" value="high">
  <param name="wmode" value="opaque">
  <param name="bgcolor" value="FFFFFF">
  <param name="flashvars" value="">
  <embed name="idAdbillboard1026155420" src="http://i.hub.com.pl/bloggerzy_double_billboard_19268.swf?clickTag=http://interia.hit.gemius.pl/hitredir/id=zZea.6bjGy4p64etJ3Rierd8TIP8.OyVgoxmsrFE267.a7/stparam=vijtqwlmhb/fastid=1297036692683572860/sarg=00000008A4A4E92A/url=https://www.yetipay.pl/slowo-blogera/" quality="high" wmode="opaque" bgcolor="FFFFFF" width="750" height="200" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="" swliveconnect="true" allowscriptaccess="always" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
</object>

I opened this html code and tried to block this one but same thing happens.

Hi again, there is a kind of "bypass" I've came across.

After you enter into a 'block content' mode, click on the flash content you wish to hide (as usual).
Because 'Done', 'Cancel' and 'Details...' buttons disappear you can't proceed now, but if you in addition try clicking on some other blockable content in a same page(as if you tried blocking it too) then sometimes those buttons appear again, after which it is possible to proceed.

I haven't done much tries, but I've noticed clicking on an image content helps.

So, to me, this looks like an unintentional behaviour, which is independent of the Flash Player version installed (both 10.-something and the newest 11.-something behave the same). Still, I see that older Opera 10.50 version doesn't seem to have that issue and works just fine.
