Opera Mobile 11.5 for Android
Hi everyone,We are glad to announce that we have released Opera Mobile 11.5 for Android.
Please visit Opera's page in Android Market on your PC or open Android Market application on your phone to download.
This release is for Android 1.6+ devices only.
We have treats for Opera Turbo users. There is a new option in settings that would turn Turbo off automatically when you browse on WiFi network.
You may also want to look into "Data Usage" section in "Help" to see how much data Turbo is saving for you.
This will be a manual update in Android Market as we have added one new permission for reading system bookmarks. But in return we have given you the possibility to import bookmarks from Android system browser.
We have a new star in town. It's located in the address field. Just touch it and you can easily bookmark current page or add a shortcut to it on Android home screen.
We have also improved our experimental Flash support for Honeycomb to make it compatible with Flash 11.
Last but not least - Opera will now store cache on SD card whenever possible. Cache entries are encrypted.
You can read more about the new features in Opera Mobile Blog
We are looking forward for your feedback!
You can report problems using "Report a problem" tool in Help.

)Can this be fixed please?

It's not exactly a Herculean task to add the current page to speed dial however - simply open a new tab, tap on your speed dial page (which will have opened in the background in the new tab), press 'clear' on a speed dial you wish to replace, then press 'add' - top of the list of choices you're offered will be the page you're on, click and you're done.
Admittedly longer than two taps on the star, but quantifiable in mere seconds, which I personally can live with.

(I mean, it isn't that way, and I think there should be an option to add it to the Speed Dial too - as can be done in Opera 12 for computers).
Images don't load (connection speed doesn't matter, they don't load when I'm on wi-fi either. happens with or without turbo, also), some websites I simply can't access (they begin loading, and then opera decides that it doesn't feel like loading them, so it simply stops), I can access settings for all of two seconds, at most, after which it automatically closes settings and gets me back to whatever page I was on before, I can't even set speed dial items since I get the same 2-sec-and-get-the-hell-out policy.
Can ANYBODY tell me how to revert to the previous version (11.1 I believe it was). I've searched all over and I can't find it. And apparently opera mobile doesn't have the "download previous versions" Opera for PC has.
Help GREATLY appreciated. I'd really really hate to have to install some other browser on my phone, since they all suck compared to Opera, but frankly? At the state it's currently in, I cannot use it. It's broken.
If you wish to downgrade to 11.1 you can get it here:
ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/android/mobile/1110/Opera_Mobile_11.1_Android.apk
Could some go and tell Opera that? The mini opera that is offered sucks as I cannot switch off Turbo.

Your link takes me to the Opera Mobile Market page. Don't know why it's not working for you. :/

We most certainly did not.
Can you tell me what phone and Android version do you have?
@Maceddie: With Opera Mini I cannot connect to a local server (LAN). With Opera Mobile with Turbo switch-off I can, Therefor I deducted that Opera Mini uses Turbo mode, as turbo would not be able to locate local servers as all connections are proxied over Opera servers.
All is fine now.

I can connect using Opera mini and mobile using Wi-fi (LAN ?). Is that the same thing?

You can use only Opera Mobile with turbo switched off to access devices on the same network.
EDIT:
also pawelu, please read this message
Recently I had really bad experiences with the latest Opera Mobile.
I hope you will think about the things I'm writing.
First, the new Presto engine is all good and nice, but there is a really annoying thing about the update. When I try to long tap something, the screen continues to move unlike the 11.1 did, because it stands still while I long tap something. I have to try a lot to long tap a link. Really annoying and this is the main reason why I went back to 11.1
Second, bookmarks from address bar, yaay! However, the the new icons that the tab when Opera button is pressed got are making it look "cold". It's really strange to look at it. In the 11.1 that tab has some nice red in it, that makes it look "warm". That just feels so much better.
The first problem is more important to be fixed I guess.
If you have anything to ask or tell, please contact me on my gmail, that is hh.vadolf@gmail.com
Just a sidenote, I asked one of the Opera employers earlier about changing icons in Opera Mobile, but I got no reply. Can please tell me if there is a way. If there is just tell me, I'll understand whatever the way it is to do so.

+1 there's enough space for both options, as we have in the desktop browser ("Open link in New Tab" AND "Open link in Background Tab" available in the context menu).Still no option to open new tabs in foreground.
Opera Mini 6.5 - blazingly fast. Screen res is just as good as Dolphin HD, Skyfire, et cetera. Integration with Adobe Flash... well, my experience has been less than spectacular, even on WiMax (I still have to go through the app itself to get things done)... still, a great little browser that REALLY goes.
Opera Mobile 11.5 - it is wonderfully put together; the presentation, is every bit a PC experience. However, it CRAWLS. It'll load 3/4 of the way into a page, and just sit there. I talked with other fellow Opera Mobile users who use it - same assessment. Whenever you search the Android Market for Opera Mobile, you'll get Opera Mini pulled up every time. Why this is, I don't know. I've tried Opera Mobile with Turbo off, and on (Opera Link off, or on, as well) - depending on available bandwidth. The exit button is a nice feature, but, you'll get an "Are you sure?" - and, sometimes, it'll clear cache history. Oftentimes, it doesn't. Opera Link works well with my PC, but, once again, Adobe crawls even after the correct install. I now have to use Skyfire as my main browser, just to get things done quickly.
My two cents. I am, and always will be, an Opera Person (dunh- dunhdunhdunhdunnnnnhhh...). "Yes, it's Opera Person. A faithful Sergeant-At Arms, dedicated to our quest for free, unfettered 'Net access... may we triumph over the shadow of Google, the present father to Android! Onward, soldiers! We haven't yet begun the battle.... (tape 'scrub' coming to a slow... stop...)"
How can we, as Opera Mobile users, help get things moving faster?
I noticed, after the latest Opera Mobile 11.5.2 update (two days ago, I think), that the browser is lagging strongly. When the page loads, I often get the message of Opera not responding, which is something before unthinkable. I was used to a speedy browser with no problem whatsoever. Does anyone have the same problem?
I must say I wiped all data and all preferences but the problem persists. I am running HTS Desire with custom ROM 2.3.3 InsertCoin v51.
Latest mobile version (11.5) does not work on Pearl X4 ( http://www.pearl.de/a-PX8765-1540.shtml ) , Android 2.3 - simply crashes while being opened.

I have the same problem on my Samsung Epic 4G, which is a Galaxy S, stock phone, running Froyo 2.2.1. I have downgraded to OM11.1, and downgraded flash as well and am running fine again. Looks to me like 11.5+ runs fine on Android 3.0+. Maybe that's the target for this release?

Also loading blank screens on Facebook mobile when you go to comment, refresh then loads the page.
I'm sure that the team at Opera will get this sorted away in a hurry. I love Opera Software, and what it stands for. However, allow me to make a small suggestion, so that video on Opera Mobile & Mini will be a seamless experience:
If you (Opera Software) don't want to pay for full-usage rights to Adobe Software, or, you disagree with how they view the Web experience AND/or do business, then, there are two choices:
1 - Bite the bullet, and do what you have to do to get Adobe Flash, Shockwave, et al, working seamlessly within your browser software; or,
2 - Find a developer who has the answer to what Adobe offers, make it seamless... and then, you - Opera - will have the upper hand when it comes down to dealing with the big boys.

well... this is another link of opera mini browser
http://www.appsapk.com/opera-mini/
. Can't praise Opera Mobile enough. I beg you to return, though keyboard control.
And if possible use a large portion of the possible keys. Make it as close as possible to approximate PC-version.
But on the same phone Opera mini works well (wifi and 3g).
To test the woorking of the turbo mode, i check the economy meter and this site http://www.localiser-ip.com/ to see where i arrive on the internet (provider or Opera servers in poland)
I've try to access to opera10-turbo-ch.opera-mini.net:80 with opera Mobile over 3G and the result is "Hostname lookup for "" failed ERR_ZERO_SIZE_OBJECT so my phose is able to communicate with opera servers.
I've had a look in the opera:config page, in the proxy setting, the turbosettings.xml path point to a non existing file. But as the turbo works on wifi, i think it doesn't matter. Opera must use a default built-in turbo settings.
How to know them ? maybe the port is not 80 and is blocked by my isp. (virgin mobile fr)
Any help please
My problem is web pages simply will not load. I've tried multiple pages. From Facebook (which is where I first noticed the issue), to our local news website, to even the Opera webpage. The loading status bar gets stuck at a very very tiny amount.
Please get it fixed soon! I love Opera on my tablet!
I installed opera mobile 11.5 on my samsung gt s5670 (galaxy fit) and I didn't able to find on proxy setting (opera:config) where I can put pac file (automatic proxy configuration URL) so I didn't use network that ask me an proxy authentication required
someone can help me ?
thanks
