File sharing APP not woking on different coumputers?
Hi,I have a problem with the File Sharing APP. I logged on to my unite account and activated the File Sharing APP. After the configuration which has to be done like choosing the sharing folder at your computer I was able to upload data (files) and could see them via UNITE. But this works only as long as I work with the same computer.
I was not able to access or see these data after I logged on to my unite account on a different coumputer (e.g. work). I also activated the file sharing App on this computer but there were no files to see. It was simply empty. It was the same URL.
It seems Opera or Unite created different instances. On each instance I could publishes the uploaded data with deferent password. How the File Sharing and UNITE does work?? As I understand the philosophy behind UNITE right it should be possible to have access to all the uploaded data from everywhere also on different computers. That means I have the some view to the data where ever I be (like dropbox).
Is this a bug as so many in oprea's software? What I'm doing wrong?

I'm sorry for that question, but I should read before I ask. I realized that all the UNITE staff is self hosted. That means that all files, pictures or music files are on my computer at home. I can access these data via internet as long as the computer at home is running.
That is a good idea. No need to send the data to the cloud where no body relay knows what happen with it.
But be honest, who is running his computer nonstop (60-100W/h * 24h * 320 days) just only to access or share some data ones a day,ones a week ?
Be honest, who stable opera is running?
Be honest, how fast is the upload of you private DSL connection?
If one your family needs to use that computer with his own account?
I know only 2 people who are runs there computer 7*24 and there are more experts than consumer an run much powerfull solution to access there data.

Well I do.... You can listen to on line or download my music or audio books. I just added ePub files to anyone interested in downloading. I have been sharing for at least the last year 24/7.
