Cannot delete single photo

I have a few picture galleries, and update them quite a bit. With each one, I like to try and keep the numbers equal (so many in each)... so it involves deleting photos from time to time smile

I've run into this same frustrating, nail biting hair pulling problem several times now: I get one single photo that REFUSES to delete! I have cleared my cache, cookies, tried other browsers, and that one single picture sticks in that gallery like glue!

Out of utter frustration in the past I've just deleted the entire gallery and started over from scratch. That's time consuming, and not a whole lot of fun... I really don't feel like going through that again sad

Any ideas, anyone?... Please???

(Like I said - frustrating, nail biting and hair pulling...) NOT PRETTY! scared

Same thing few months ago at one Shoot & Tell album and now again on another one:

Please give some direct links to those album pages.

EDIT: Okay, I found an example on Mingmeister's albums.
On page: http://my.opera.com/Mingmeister/albums/showpic.dml?album=7163352&picture=128830902
Original picture name was: http://files.myopera.com/Mingmeister/albums/7163352/Aspens%20and%20Windblown%20Grasses%2C%20Idaho.jpg

Those %20 means there has been space between words on file name. That obviously causes the problem. Same thing here at one of Shoot & Tell albums.

Renaming the picture does not change the original name of the file. It is only a kind of nickname you can give for pictures in case you wish to arrange the pictures according to names or for some other reasons people may have.

Only thing we all can do is wait till MyOpera developers and admins have time to remove those pages with no pictures on them. Meanwhile you can upload new pictures and continue as usual.

However, for now on do not use file names where are spaces like this:

Cat & dog sitting under tree.jpg

Instead use names where is no spaces, no extra fullstops and no special symbols. These are okay:

CatAndDogSittingUnderTree.jpg

It's those spaces and special symbols on file names that cause this problem.

You are right, Serola, about file names with spaces and other rubbish. But exactly because of that bad 'simple users' habit (initiated by Mac and MS) I only use file names with no spaces, no extra fullstops and no special symbols - especially on the internet where it's not tolerated. Yet the same problem laughs me in the face: pictures (positions, to be exact) that will not disappear. So there is a real problem I suppose..

I've all ready three 'pictures' staying put in one album so I'll delete the whole album.

Actually one of the MyOpera developers told me the file name should not have caused this issue. So, I'm not so sure about that anymore.

Maybe this happened when starting to upload the same image while uploading the very same image was already running on server, but slowly. So, double loading the same file almost at the same time could have been more likely reason.

Hi there!

We're looking into the issue with slowness right now. I'm sorry for the inconvenience it causes, and I hope to have a fix ready ASAP.

Hi again!

The slowness should now be fixed, and it should be quick as a dolphin!
