Facebook not fully loading
This is frustrating. I know Opera has its share of problems (I've lost track of how many times Opera has crashed on me when favoriting a YouTube video) but now I can't even get Facebook to load.Well, that's not entirely true, because I can get it to load partially. I can still see the bar at the top and the Facebook copyright information at the bottom but everything inbetween? Empty. Nothing is loading. I can't look at anyone else's page either nor can I check any of my notifications. I tried opening Facebook in Safari and it works just fine there. I can also use the mobile version of Facebook on Opera.
I've tried deleting the cookies, clearing the cache, but nothing seems to be working.
I am having the same problem! I've tried reinstalling, restoring the initial settings and it went nowhere.
What version of Opera for Mac are you all using? I'm using PC, not a Mac, but have the same issue ONLY with Opera 10.63, which is what I use on my Windows XP system. The issue started Tuesday, 11 October in the middle of the afternoon EDT.
On my Windows 7 computer I use Opera 11.51 and do not have any issues. It is only happening in Opera 10.63 for me and for another user who contacted me via an Opera newsgroup.
If I right-click in the Facebook page and choose Edit Site Preferences, then disable JavaScript just for Facebook, click OK and refresh the page, I can see all the content again..... BUT of course nothing in Facebook works after that because it all run s on JavaScript.
Based on that, I'm guessing that sometime Tuesday, Facebook made a change in their web site's scripting, and Opera 10.63 cannot handle it. Let me know if you're using Opera 10 or 11.

I'm on Mac OS 10.6.8 and Opera 11.51 Build 1087 and I don't have any issues with facebook. Actually Opera "draws" it pretty well.
I'm also using an older version of Opera but, like andressaok, I can't run the latest version of Opera because my Mac Mini doesn't support it.
I suspect those who can't update to Opera 11.x may find themselves out of luck with Facebook using Opera 10.x. My Windows XP PC has problems between Opera 11.x and my display drivers, so I've been stuck using Opera 10.x also. I've had to switch to Firefox to view Facebook.
Opera won't be fixing or changing anything on its older versions, and Facebook never turns back once they've made changes.
I wonder if you Mac users with problems running Opera 11 could run Opera Mobile 11 on your older Macs:

Sorry Daniel, but Facebook NEVER supported Opera, any version. They don't consider Opera a major player and, like many web sites, they ignore it.
From http://www.facebook.com/common/browser.php:
Sorry, we're not cool enough to support your browser. Please keep it real with one of the following browsers:
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Safari
Microsoft Internet Explorer

Facebook simply changed their scripting and only tested in the latest browsers, supported or not. It works but has issues now with the new scripting in Firefox 3.6.23, which is still supported and updated by Mozilla. It works but has issues with Internet Explorer 7, which is still a browser supported and getting updates from Microsoft. Facebook ignore them also, and they are browsers supported by their makers.

Hey there. I am using Opera 10.63 as well, and I am having the same problem - Facebook only loads the top bar, but everything else is blank. Does it mean that I definitely need to upgrade Opera or start using FB only with other browsers? Is there anything that can fix that? That's scandalous, really.. too much
I do not know what to do ... I can not find a browser compatible with my Mac, which has a reasonable performance and run the facebook = /

I am also having the exact same problem with Facebook using Opera 10.63. It started the evening of 11 October 2011. That's apparently when Facebook made their scripting revisions, as it was working normally up till earlier that day. Besides the blank white home page issue, numerous other links and functions in Facebook also do not work anymore, including the link for reporting the blank white home page problem to them (!). It is beyond aggravating. Unfortunately, 10.63 is the last Opera version that works with Win98/ME, my preferred OS for many personal reasons. Interestingly, I can still load Facebook with Firefox 2 (with some formatting issues), a *much* older browser than Opera 10.63 (!). I wonder if there is any way to compensate for these new scripting errors with browser.js or User JavaScript. Any thoughts?
EDIT: I just realized this thread is for Macs, not Windows. I found it with the search function and it described my exact problem. Apparently the problem is cross-platform. I've reported it to Facebook as well as Opera, even though I realize 10.63 is not the latest version. The problem and responsibility lies primarily with Facebook. I'm increasingly angry and fed up with them.

Update: Today I decided to try Facebook in Opera 10.63 again, using Windows XP, and it is suddenly working. I think I tried within the past couple of weeks and it was still broken, so this is a recent development. Opera's browser.js is the same one that I've had since March 2011, so Opera did not fix it. I'm assuming Facebook made some change in their scripting that got it working in Opera 10 again. Let's see how long it lasts!
