"Check for Updates" on Help menu does nothing at all

When I click on "Check for Updates" from Help menu pull down nothing whatsoever happens. I'm running 11.51 Bld 1087, but my problem has been around for a few version now. No big deal, as I simply check the Opera website occasionally for new version availability, but I would like to fix the problem if anyone has any tips on what may be wrong. Thanks!

Which version were you using before 11.51?

I usually keep current, so using 11.50 before, and 11.11 before that.

That is strange. Nothing happens or it just says that you are using the lastet build?
