Why does Password Manager not work for me?
For years I have entered password and user names manually. Occasionally Opera asks if I want it to save the password and I say yes but in all this time only one has ever worked (and I did nothing different on that one that I know of.)I just looked in Password Manager and there is a huge list but none work except this one. That includes these forums where it is listed in Password Manager but the wand icon does nothing to log me in.
This is what I do: I go to a log in page and I click the wand icon (its popup says 'log-in') but nothing happens. So I type in manually.
Yesterday I went back to the one page that did use to work but now it no longer works nor did it offer to save my password anew. So now none of them work.
As for other personal form filling I've never seen any options for those at all. No idea how to produce those even after much googling and experimenting.
Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.
I have just bought a new laptop. I downloaded opera as i have it on my pc and linked in to my pc account ok.
However, passwords did not come across so started again with the password manager on the new laptop. Working fine for a couple of days, then it stopped working. Passwords were still in pword manager but not showing with the wand or to save new ones.
Yesterday, I set up my "form" details. I have just discovered that by doing this there is a box on that screen that asks if you want to enable password manager. I had missed it and not ticked it, this is why it had stopped working.
Try Ctrl/f12 - forms.
