"Edit-Find" not working

Hi,

I use Opera 11.51 in Win7 and the Find function doesn't seem to work correctly... it does find some words, but not others. For example, if I visit this forum and I try to find "Today", it doesn't find it, although there are lots of posts that have been posted today and where the word Today appears.

This is quite frequent, in fact in recent days I have had several instances of Opera not being able to find the word that I wanted to find, when it actually was there, and this is very annoying. I think it didn't happen with previous versions, it must have been in the update to 11.51.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any fixes?

No problem here; just tested and it has found 4 "today" on this page.

A common problem is that users find in links by using the , shortcut instead of the . shortcut then words that are not in links are not found. In this case, however, "Today" should be found even if find in link is used because it exists in the Today's Posts

Like, LeoCG, I am unable to reproduced the problem.

I'm having the same problem on several pages. For example, when I try to find the text "phone" (i.e. push ctrl-f then search) on the pagehttp://www.agecon.tamu.edu/people/people_faculty.html it does not find the word. It does, however, find names with the letters "ph" as I start typing the search.

I've had this problem on other pages too. Yesterday I ended up copying the text of a long page and pasting it into Word in order to do a search

Did you check the box that says "match case?"

Hmm. I certainly hadn't done that intentionally, but trying the same search now it seems to work. I'll watch for that. Thanks.
