Facebook will not work anymore. Please help

I've never had a problem before. But now all of a sudden facebook quit working. I noticed a few day's ago as I was signing in, that it said something about java needed to be enabled,or something about scripting, I don't know. But I logged in anyways with no problem, two day's later how-ever it quit working. when i log in, I can see my picture and name at the right hand side, and that's it, the rest is a blank screen, i can't even go into the help section of facebook. I have an old computer, windows me, the worst. But untill I can get a new one, I'm stuck with this crappy one. I can only have opera browser 10.63, I can't upgrade any higher. Java is enabled so I don't know what facebook was talking about that day. I can't upgrade java either because nothing supports windows me anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do in order to make facebook work again? thanks so much.

linux is a free OS that doesn't necessarily require a grand computer. You can easily download a boot cd from one of the distributions and try it out.

could be the new timeline, Facebook works fine in opera most of the time, sometimes as changes are made in facebook and in opera, things play up for awhile.
