Spoof UserAgent ID Setting not being Saved - Opera Mobile 11.1, 11.5
I was experiencing issues with a site and thought that changing the user agent might help, but Opera Mobile is not saving the setting after restarting.My Opera version is 11.50.ADR-1110071847
This issue also occurred with Opera Mobile 11.1, version 11.10.ADR-1109081720
Other settings are being preserved between restarts--I tested changing the Author CSS item in the User Display Mode section, which is saved between restarts.

Did you change the setting manually through opera:config to one of the "Mask as" settings (4 or 5)? If so, that setting will be reset to identify as Opera as you restart.

the poster above me is correct, the user agent is not saved when changing it in the manner you described (inside of about:configuration page). Instead of changing it in the section you tried, go down to user prefs and change it there.
To know what to put, do a Google search for the browser string you're trying to emulate and paste in under user prefs.
For example, I searched for ie7 and got this user string : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; en-US)
now it shows up as ie7 and sticks between restarts.
