Connecting laptop to LAN at work but opera won't connect.

Hi,

I'm trying to connect my laptop to the LAN at work. Everything seems to be connecting fine but Opera won't connect to the internet through the LAN, I get a 'connection closed by remote server' error. Internet explorer connects fine so I am guessing there is some connection setting in Opera I need to change to get it connected.
Also Opera connects fine to the internet when I am using the Wi-Fi at work it's just the LAN that is the problem.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Preferences (Alt-P) > Advanced > Network, click on Server Name Completion. In the dialog, enable Look for local network machine.
