Speed Dial reloading at inappropriate times

When opening opera 11.51 or opening a new page before I enter a new one (which by default opens a speed dial page), speed dial seems to want to open/reload all/most of the pages on my speed dial.

I'd prefer that speed dial reload as per the staggered timer I've set and not all at once. Is there a way to make this so?

Also, I find it overly animated, when 'reloading' a page, it will have the 'spinning circle' which by human nature holds and delays your attention. I'd prefer that the update page just snap in place.

I have a similar problem, however my Speed Dial opens speed dial web pages in tabs that I already have a working web page loaded. For instance, I will be typing a response to a message I received from a website and Opera will open a Speed Dial page as I am typing the response. Sometimes it will open one, then two, then 3, etc new pages in the tab of the web page I was trying to type my reply. It has gotten so bad that I have to us Internet Explore a lot of the time. I am a die hard Opera fan and have been using and promoting the browser since it came out. Please, somebody tell me how to fix the problem I'm having with Opera automatically opening speed dial web pages in tabs which web pages on which I am working. Browser identification: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.0; U; IBM EVV/3.0/EAK01AG9/LE; Edition United States Local; en) Presto/2.9.168 Version/11.52.

Let me thank you in advance for your assistance in correcting this matter.
