WML DOM rendering

Hello all,
First of all, the thing I want to do (and actually done) is creating a shortcut within my page. Like if user presses Ctrl+I, browser opens info section. This is easy with monitoring keydown event changing window.location. However, I need shortcuts for submitting forms as well. In html it is just myFormElelment.submit();. But as long as wml is XMLDocument it does not have such methods as submit. Thus I wrote XmlHttpRequest for fetching a page, and then I replace old page content with a new one. The problem is that updated page now looks like tag-stripped text. Even if the fetched page is identical to old one. I checked DOM via dragonfly and it is identical. Only the view differs. I also tested it on html version and it worked. I did not found it to be a programming problem. So is it possible to re-render WML page using javascript or something like that?
Nb. The site is a browser game, it has wml and html versions. Wml was designed for phones. But for speed and performance reasons lots of pc users uses wml version, so please do not say to use html instead of wml.
