Add "Save position" option into dialog of creating bookmark,

If a long page is designed properly it will include anchors, then you can bookmark the anchor as well as the page. If there are no anchors, I don't know how it would be possible to save the page position in a bookmark as it would depend on the zoom level, view port width, user's font sizes, etc.

What you can do already is save a session. That will preserve the state of the page.

Open Drag the link to your address bar or another toolbar to create a button. Click to open a file; click and hold to open a session. It is worth learning how to work with sessions. It can save a lot of time, and reduce memory use since you don't need to keep so many tabs open. Start a new window for a specific topic, open several tabs, save it as a session, then close the window.

I quite often read long pages which don't have included anchors,

yes, session possible could resolve this problem, but there no session manager(something like bookmark manager)
which allow search/move/copy stored pages, without open full session - which is very long process

It takes about three seconds here to open a session.

I have 10 Mb/s cable broadband, Re: my hardware, see my sig.
Maybe you should use much smaller sessions? My sessions are all ten tabs or less.

If your connection is slow, changing the setting in Preferences, History, Check Documents, to 24 hours might help, but it is not so convenient on forums as you have remember to manually refresh threads.

If it's possible to access the information for a session, then it is possible to do it for a bookmark as well.

On my PC it required half of hour to open opera with 1000 tabs in session,
(I can't add page to bookmark and close it because I lose position on page - so I use session instead bookmarks)

it's hardly required for me - save position on page, please add "Save position" option into dialog of creating bookmark
