Opera loads gobledegook
I have had to uninstall Opera 11.5 recently on three separate computers as it just loads lines of code/numbers/symbols etc for itself and then individual web pages (though Opera speed dial displays OK). Running version 10 is fine and removes the problem as does the beta version 12 (Opera Next) - running Windows 7 with intel quad and 4Gb of memory - 2010 Acer Aspire - so it's not the computer spec.LeoCG - re Turbo: no, it wouldn't have been because our internet speed is usually of the order of 10Mb. Right now there are no problems with Opera 10 on our laptops or Opera Next on my 'desktop', so I'm leaving well alone. Just have to remind the wife not to allow Opera 10 to update itself to v11.5 (as it keeps offering to do) as when she did this the 'goobledegook' reappeared and I had to uninstall v 11.5 and reinstall v 10.
As a side note. it's only this past month or so since our internet speed was increased from 2mb and I also upgraded all our computers to AVG 2012 at the same time - it is since these two events that the problems started with Opera v 11.5.
Anyway Leo, thanks for the suggestion. I may try v 11.5 with turbo enabled on my laptop when I have half an hour . . . If it 'works' I'll update this thread.
