Anyone else getting this? All I had open was one tab at the NY Times. Only other ap was Apple Mail minimized.

Yesterday I installed an update for Safari but it was not open during the abends.

The new version of Flash seems to be the offender for me as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Does this method of trying Opera 12 really not affect my 11.52 version?

Yes, Opera 12 (Opera Next) does not touch any configuration of Opera 11.52. They use different profiles and different configurations.

I have the exact same problem and had the same suspicion it might be caused by updating flashplayer. Opera now crashes, usually after 15-20 seconds, sometimes a little longer. Then sometimes it doesn't crash for a couple of hours, and I can see no pattern. I have 12 tabs open. And it's the exact same thing in Opera Next, with about 7 tabs open, even with the very latest snapshot. All my software is very recently updated.

Ideas anyone? Like this Opera is nearly totally useless, damn.

I've got the same issues as well. There is some idea to solved it :
- It seems that the desktop team known the problem and try to fix it
- Delete some old flash cached files => http://my.opera.com/community/forums/findpost.pl?id=10624032
- Disable plugin until the fix is released

It seems there is also some bug with flash and Opera Next, Desktop team work also on a fix.
