When right-clicking on a link,either "Open in New Tab" or "Open in Background Tab" should be 1st
When right-clicking on a link, "Open" being the first choice is silly and redundant, if you just wanted to visit that link you wouldn't have right-clicked. So, just like Chrome and Firefox, "Open in New Tab" or "Open in Background Tab" should be the 1st option, you folks at Opera can argue which should be first.18. October 2011, 16:49:49 (edited)
There is no need to argue at all — change it yourself to whatever order you like.

Open on the right-click menu is not redundant. Disable "Reuse current tab" in preference, and left click on the link above — it will open in a new tab as expected. Now, right-click and choose "Open." It will open in the current tab.
