From where can I download 10.4?
Hi,I am still running Windows 95. My understanding is that support for this OS was discontinued in Opera 10.5. Hence I need to download the latest version of 10.4. I can not find it on the download page, nor in the Opera archive (although I do not understand the filenames used in the archive).
So, please, from where can I download Opera 10.4?
Many thanks,
Martin
Also, see Opera in Win 98. That may offer some solutions for running more recent versions.

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately Opera 10.4 is not listed on this page.
As Tamil already indicated (before I could finish this post) the changelogs at his "10.4?" link show that Opera jumped from 10.10 to 10.50.
So unless you want to try the suggestions in Pesala's Opera in Win 98 link, try using 10.10 from one of the links you mentioned.
...
Many thanks for your help. Unfortunately KernelEX, as suggested in Pesala's post, declines to install under Windows 95; it is only for Windows 98 and ME. So, instead, I have downloaded and am using Opera 10.10.
Thanks again,
Martin

You mentioned not understanding some of the filenames used in the archive. If it was the version numbering, try 1010/.
But I'm guessing it was the language localization coding or the installer types (MSI, EXE, "Classic"). I see you're in Canada, so if you want an English installation, you could use either the English installer or the International installer. The international installer will include language localization sub-folders for about 50 different languages, including French (fr) and maybe Canadian French (fr-CA), while the English installer includes only the English localization.
If it was the installer types you didn't understand, either the EXE or the MSI will work for the International version, and either the Classic or the newer installer will work. (The main practical differences for the user are some subtle variations in the flexibility for customizing the setup during installation that probably don't matter to the vast majority of users.)
In the USA, if I select Opera 10.10 from what you called the download page and click on "More options" I am offered the following choices:
• Classic Installer, English (US)
• English (US)
• International
The selections you are offered In Canada *might* be different, but I imagine you get the localization idea by now (if you didn't already), and can select accordingly.

Yeah, I was just reading about it a bit myself, but didn't catch earlier that you were on Win95 instead of Win98.
Good luck with 10.10. I never used it myself (jumped from 9.64 to 10.62/63 as I recall), but I've noticed many comments in the forums about 10.10 having been a good stable release, and I think there are plenty of people still using it.(I'm mainly using 11.01 now, but I also still regularly use 9.27 for some functionality that went away in later releases.)
