Task Bar issues ...
I am having problems with Opera (11.50, 11.51, and 11.52) trying to pin itself to the task bar.As soon as I start installing Opera under windows 7 64 bit, I receive the following error:
The drive or network connection that the shortcut "Lenovo Think.lnk" refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again.
The "Lenovo Think.lnk" is the "Device Stage Platform Server", and it refers to the Task Bar as follows:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
I did not have such issues with Opera 11.11 and previous versions. Apparently, the developers decided to pin the program to
the task bar starting with version 11.50.
I have read the change log, and version 11.52 highlights say as follows:
The Winstaller now has an option to pin Opera to the taskbar on Windows 7
I thought that the developers have finally figured out how to pin or unpin their program to the task bar. Unfortunately, the program starts spitting this error twice as soon as the installation is started. Is there really an option to tell Opera to keep its nose outside the task bar? Because when Opera pokes its nose into the task bar, Internet Explorer starts complaining as follows:
A program on your computer has corrupted your defualt search provider settings for Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer will now open Search Settings, where you can change this setting or install more search providers.
Is this thing fixed or not?
